Business terms of service

1. Who this applies to

These terms are between CraftMyResume Labs Pvt Ltd, India (“we”) and the organization that creates a CraftMyResume Business workspace (“you”). The person accepting them confirms they are authorized to bind that organization. Our consumer terms continue to apply to personal CraftMyResume accounts. Business credits and consumer credits are separate.

2. What is available today

Workspaces, job descriptions and rubrics, and fixed sample assessments are free to try. Sample data is fictional. Real resume processing, credit purchases and some workspace tools open later. The sections on those features apply from the day they are available to your workspace.

3. The service

The service compares a resume with the requirements you set for a job, quotes the evidence it finds, and calculates an evidence score. You can compare candidates, keep a shortlist and notes, and export a report. The service is available to organizations in India.

4. You make the hiring decision

Results support a recruiter's review. They are not a hiring decision, recommendation, or prediction of job performance. Missing evidence does not mean a candidate lacks a skill. AI can make mistakes, so a person must check the quoted evidence before acting on a result.

You must not reject, rank out, or otherwise decide about a candidate using a score alone.

5. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for your use of candidate data and for your hiring decisions. You must:

• have a lawful basis and give any notice required by law before uploading a resume, including under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023;
• upload only resumes you are entitled to use, and not resumes of anyone you know to be under 18;
• follow employment and anti-discrimination law;
• keep accounts, authenticators and API keys secure, and keep API keys on your server;
• follow the acceptable use policy.

6. Team and access

The workspace owner controls who has access. You are responsible for everything done through your members and API keys. Owners can transfer ownership to another member. If an owner's account is deleted, ownership passes to another member, or the workspace closes if no one else remains.

7. Candidate data

You decide why and how candidate data is used, and we process it on your behalf under the data processing addendum, which forms part of these terms. Uploaded files are deleted after assessment, within 24 hours at most. Results, shortlists and notes are deleted automatically after 90 days. You can delete them sooner.

8. Credits and payment

Credits are prepaid and belong to your workspace. Pack prices are shown before you pay. One full assessment uses 5 credits. Credits expire 365 days after purchase. Failed assessments are not charged. Results you delete, or that expire, remain charged. Refunds follow the credit and refund policy. Payments are processed by Razorpay.

9. Taxes

We are not currently registered for GST, so we do not charge GST and our invoices do not show it. If that changes, we will show the tax before you pay on later purchases. You remain responsible for your own tax treatment of purchases.

10. Your content and ours

You keep your rights in your job descriptions, rubrics, notes and candidate data. You allow us to process them only to provide the service. We keep our rights in the software, scoring method and documentation. You may use results and reports in your own hiring work, and share reports with your clients where you are entitled to share that candidate's data.

11. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted service or a specific service level. Large packs do not guarantee a particular processing speed. We may change features, and will give at least 14 days' notice by email of material changes to these terms. Using the service after that date means you accept them.

12. Suspension and closing

You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend access for a breach of these terms, a security risk, non-payment, or a legal requirement, and will tell you unless the law prevents it. After closure, candidate data is deleted on its normal schedule, within 90 days at most. We keep billing records as required by law.

13. Warranties

Except as the law requires, the service is provided “as is”. We do not promise that any result is accurate or complete, or that using the service will lead to a particular hiring outcome.

14. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited. You are responsible for claims that arise from your hiring decisions or from candidate data you had no right to upload.

15. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Indian law. Disputes are resolved in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka. Please write to us first at hello@craftmyresume.org, as most issues can be solved quickly that way.
