Two columns: what the JD wants vs. what your resume actually says. Missing keywords surfaced inline.

Our quality rubric checks five categories: contact, summary, experience or projects, skills, and length and polish. Adding a job description runs a separate skill-keyword comparison. Neither score reproduces an employer's hiring system or guarantees an interview.
Check that recruiters can contact you and understand your focus. Contact details contribute up to 15 points and your summary up to 10 points in this rubric.
Experience contributes up to 35 points for entries, dates and useful bullets. If you have projects but no work experience, projects take that place. Describe your actual contribution; include numbers only when you can substantiate them.
Your skills section contributes up to 15 quality points. The optional JD matcher compares recognized skill terms and supported aliases separately. Missing terms are prompts to review relevance, not instructions to claim skills you lack.
Length and polish contribute up to 25 points. Use concise, specific writing. This checker scores the content extracted from your PDF; inspect the original file too, because the score is not a full test of its layout or reading order.
Use a text-based PDF up to 5 MB. No signup or card is needed for the free check.
Optionally paste the JD text to compare recognized skill keywords alongside your quality score.
Use the category feedback to edit your resume. Sign up when you want to save it or use AI help.
Combine the feedback with a careful read of the job requirements. Your examples and claims should make sense to a recruiter, whatever number the checker shows.
An ATS resume checker helps you review a resume before applying. This checker reads your PDF, applies CraftMyResume's own content-quality rubric, and optionally compares keywords with a job description. It does not access an employer's ATS or reproduce its hiring decisions.
Yes. Upload your PDF on this page and you get the score, the category breakdown, the top fixes, and an optional job-description keyword match — no signup and no card. Signing up (also free) adds 20 credits so AI can rewrite the weak bullets for you; credit packs start at ₹49 if you need more.
The quality score checks contact details, summary, experience or projects, skills, and length and polish. When you have projects but no work experience, projects are scored in place of experience. The optional JD match checks recognized skill keywords separately. These are guidance scores, not a test of every ATS parser or a prediction of interviews.
No. The one-click fix only rewrites bullets to surface skills you've actually claimed elsewhere on the resume. It never invents experience you don't have. You see and approve every change before it commits.
On this free page, paste the job description text into the optional field. You can also open the checker from a job listing on CraftMyResume to prefill its available description. The browser extension can capture supported job postings into your account.
This free checker accepts a text-based PDF up to 5 MB. Export a Word or Google Docs resume as a PDF first. For a new resume, start in the free builder and choose a single-column ATS-safe template when simple reading order is your priority.
There is no universal passing ATS score. Use the category feedback to improve clarity and completeness, then check the job's actual requirements. A high score here does not guarantee parsing, shortlisting or an interview; a low score does not mean you should not apply.
Missing contact details, an incomplete summary, sparse experience or project bullets, and limited skills information can reduce this rubric's score. Inspect the specific checks rather than treating the number as an employer's decision. Only add skills and results you can support.
